Remove your phone number from Google
By jonathan | May 9, 2007
An article from Lifehacker on how to remove your home phone number from Google’s Phonebook came into my FeedReader queue yesterday and I thought I would share it.
In case some of you didn’t know, Google can perform a limited reverse lookup service. There’s a good chance if you type your home phone number into Google, it will display your name and address. Or as in the case of my parents, the last owner of their current phone number.
If you don’t have a home line, or you have a VOIP phone line, you have nothing to worry about. At least not yet.
